Ampati April 15: The South West Garo Hills district conducted an intensified Tuberculosis (TB) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) screening drive to promote early detection of TB, high blood pressure and diabetes at Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises, Ampati on April 15.
The drive is part of the 100 Days TB Campaign & NCD Screening Programme being carried out within a span of three months across various departments and offices in the district.
The programme aims to improve public health outcomes through timely screening, early detection and diagnosis of Tuberculosis and conditions like hypertension and diabetes that could add years of healthy life.
Health officials has also encouraged the public to contact ASHA or ANM workers in their respective areas for further information and assistance regarding the screening process.
The initiative is being carried out in public interest by the National Health Mission, Meghalaya, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen preventive healthcare services across the district.
