Under the DNLP health camps has benefited 93 villagers in SWGH District

Ampati, July 15: Health camps under the District Nutrition Leadership Programme (DNLP) were successfully conducted at Okkapara and Rongkekgre villages in South West Garo Hills, benefiting a total of 93 villagers through health screening and awareness activities.

At Okkapara Village, 35 beneficiaries availed themselves of health check-ups and consultation services during the camp.

Another health camp was organised at Rongkekgre Village under the Mukdangra Health and Wellness Centre (HWC), where around 58 participants were screened for anaemia, diabetes, hypertension and other common ailments. The medical team also conducted a health awareness session on the importance of balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices, regular physical activity and early detection of diseases.

The camps were organised as part of the District Nutrition Leadership Programme to promote preventive healthcare, improve nutritional awareness and encourage timely diagnosis and treatment of common health conditions. Residents actively participated in the camps, reflecting growing awareness of the importance of regular health check-ups and healthy living.
