Shillong, July 26: The Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya Frontier has announced the organisation of Spandan League 2026 under the Khelo India initiative. The league aims to promote grassroots sports, encourage active participation among youth and strengthen community engagement through the spirit of sports.
Spandan League 2026 will be organized by the Battalion under BSF Meghalaya Frontier in West Garo Hills and East Khasi Hills in different locations. The league will provide an excellent platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, discipline, team spirit and sporting excellence.
The tournament will feature competitions in three major sporting disciplines – Football, Volleyball, and Basketball. Talented players and teams from different parts of Meghalaya and local communities will participate in the league, fostering healthy competition and providing young athletes with an opportunity to develop their skills in a professional sporting environment.
As part of the pre-event activities, BSF Meghalaya Frontier will initiate a comprehensive awareness and promotional campaign through its social media platforms. The campaign will include the official announcement of the league, unveiling of the logo and theme, sharing of venue – related updates and match promotional content, thereby generating enthusiasm among sports enthusiasts and the local community while encouraging their active participation.
