Shillong, Oct 29: The Chief Engineer, PHE, has informed that “Testing and Commissioning of 300mm dia DI gravity main of the Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme (PHASE III) to Mawpat Reservoir” is scheduled from 30.10.2026 onwards.
Critical path of the Gravity Main is,from Keating Road near Lady Keane College to Polo through Police Bazar and Jail Road along the PWD road.
Jail Road to Polo Tower junction along the Municipal Road, and From Polo Tower junction to Langkyrding along the PWD Road.
In this regard, the Chief Engineer, PHE, has advised the general public not be near the ROW (Right of Way) of the pipeline as indicated above during the testing and commissioning to avoid any unforeseen incidents.
