Shillong October 30: On the 28 of this month the Border Security Force, at about 1115 hrs, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Chandaboi, Ex-132 Bn deployed in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended one GNLA Linkman namely Dansalrang Brahnoa, s/o Nirajan Brahnoa, r/o Vill- Bardal, Po-Besorkona Ps-Lakhipur, Distt- Goalpara (Assam), near BP No-1112/1-s while he was trying to infiltrate into Bangladesh. During search, party seized the following items from his possession:-
Demand note- GNLA -01, Mobile-(01)(along with 02 Indian sim, Indian currency- Rs 210/- Besides above, in another incident, BSF troops of BOP Lyngkhat Ex-108 Bn deployed in East Khasi Hills distt of Meghalaya seized 14 Nos of Cattle worth approx. Rs. 1,04,700 (One lac, Four thousand, seven hundred rupees only)while being smuggled into Bangladesh, during the last twenty four hours.
Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
