Shillong March 13:The Ministry of Development of NE Region, Govt. of India, sanctions infrastructure development projects to North Eastern State governments under the Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) Scheme, the Social and Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF) and schemes of the North Eastern Council.
The funds released under the various schemes from the years 2009-10, 2010-11 to 2011-12 are Rs. 2,273.38 crore under NLCPR, Rs.124.39 crore under SIDF and Rs.1,992.80 crore under the NEC schemes.
This was stated by the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Devp. of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Shri Paban Ghatowar in the Lok Sabha on March 12 last.(SP News)
