Shillong, April 11: The HSPDP MLA from Nongkren Mr Ardent Basaiawmoit call the attention of the home minister on the shoot out at the Williamnagar District Jail where the Jailor was shot death on the 3th Febuary 2013.
In his speech the Nongkrem MLA said that why only Khasi government servant where targeted who where serving in the Garo Hills Region, by saying this “ I don not mean to bring any difference but the fact is that, the former District Transport officer who is the present MLA, the Meghalaya Electricity Corporation and the Jailor are targeted”
He want to know from the Government , to clarified why Late Nail Warjri was sent under due rest, what transpired in the meeting between the jailor and the DG Prison, is true that his transfer base on verbal order, is this Willaimnagar incident link to the infamous Shillong Jail break.
The home minister Smti Roshan Warjri in her reply to the call attention she shaid that the government has taken immediate step on the day of the incident, the police rushed to the sport , the magisterial inquiry also recommend some measure so that in future such incident will not occurred.From the government has accorded sanction of one lack to the brief family as an exgratia payment.(SP News)
