Shillong, Nov 04: The Meghalaya Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee attended the two-day National Conference of Chairpersons of Public Accounts Committees of Parliament, State and Union Territories’ Legislatures on November 3 and 4 at the Keralam Legislative Assembly in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Meghalaya Assembly’s PAC was represented by Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. Miani D. Shira, Hon’ble Members Dr. Celestine Lyngdoh and Shri Rupa M. Marak.
Chairpersons and Members of Public Accounts Committees of Parliament and State and Union Territory Legislatures adopted a resolution to strengthen audit accountability and good governance.
The resolution was adopted on Wednesday at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, after deliberations held in the plenary session on audit, accountability and good governance and the evolving role of Public Accounts Committees.
