Shillong, May 23: A driver of a good carrier auto rickshaw sustained injuries when the vehicle went off the road and down a gorge while in the process of turning. The incident happened at Mawkynthie under Mawphlang Block, East Khasi Hills.
Amos G. Paswet (20years/male) a motorist sustained injuries when the gearless scooter he was riding hit a trailer of a jeep parked on the side of the road at Nongkseh Rim.
A Maruti 800 local taxi heading towards Shillong from Sohra hit a wall on the side of the road on reaching Umdiengpoh under Laitkroh Block, East Khasi Hills. Khraw (23years/male) and Jestar Lyngkhoi (24years/male) who where injured shited to Shillong Civil Hospital.
A motorist sustained injuries after falling off the motorbike when it rode off to the side of the road while trying to avert a collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place at Mawiong, Shillong. the motorist Sanjeet Hajong was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital. All the injured person was taken by 108 ambulance to different hospital for treatment.(SP News)
