Deputy Commissioner has appointed Mr Hajong to conduct an inquery for non supply of PDS

 

Shillong, May 30: The Deputy Commissioner of the East Khasi Hills District said that the District administration is aware about the non supply of PDS sugar.

The reason as is clear that due to non availability  of the stock in the FCI

the district could not lift the sugar in last two months and hence the quota has lapsed.

The District administration has written to the Government  to move the with the Government  of india to revalidate the quota so that the lapse

quantity can be lifted and also to direct the FCI to make available the stock at shillong.

In view on complaints in newspapers, though no one has given  complained to ophis, the District administration has appointed Mr N Hajong, Magistrate is ordered to conduct an enquiry into the complaints of non supply of the PDS commodities in parts of the district and to give report  in one week time.(SP News)
