Shillong, Sept 03: The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District Abhilash Baranwal, IAS said that in view of the visit of the Vice President of India to Shillong with effect from 7th and 8th September, 2026; and, whereas, many VIPs and dignitaries will be attending the said event.
“Now, therefore, l, Shri. Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 163 BNSS do hereby declare No-Drone Zone with effect from 7th – 8th September, 2026 with a radius of three kilometres from the venue of the function that is State Central Library, Shillong and place of stay and Lok Bhavan, Shillong.
In view of the urgency of the matter this order has been made ex-parte and it shall come into force with immediate effect and remain in force for a period with effect from 7th – 8th September 2026. Given under my hand and seal this day, the 3rd September, 2026.
