The Government of Meghalaya has announced the naming and renaming of several roads across the state, with immediate effect as per the notification issued by the General Administration Department (B).
The changes are as follows name, “Blessed Mother Teresa” has been renamed as “Saint Teresa Road” “Rev Nichol’s Roy Road” has been renamed as “Rev. J.J.M Nichols Roy Road” “PWD Road from Thorika Rabha to Nibari” has been renamed “Utpal Rabha Road”
“Pasyih Garampani Road (P.G Road)” has been renamed as “Phramer-Shangpung-Saphai Road” The roads from Wahthapbru locality towards Jaiaw Pdeng passing through Mission Compound locality has been renamed as “Dr. Friday Lyngdoh Road” The notification has been circulated to all relevant authorities and stake-holders for information and necessary action.
