Meghalaya Speaker expressed his deep sorrow on the demise of late Mr. DN Joshi

Shillong Jan 12: Mr. Metbah Lyngdoh,Hon’ble speaker, has expressed his deep sorrow on the sudden demise of (L)Shri Dhruba Nath Joshi, former member of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly,and one of the last stalwart Legislator.

Condoling his death,the speaker said that Shri Dhruba Nath Joshi will be remembered as a veteran Legislator who worked actively for the upliftment of the people of the state,and his great oratorial skills. He has left an indelible mark in the history of the state. On behalf of all the Hon’ble members of the state,the Hon’ble speaker has expressed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family.

The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Secretariat officers and staff deeply mourn the sudden demise of the veteran and seasoned former Member of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly,(L) Shri Dhruba Nath Joshi.

(L) Shri Dhruba Nath Joshi also held the post of Government Chief Whip, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly,and was an active Legislator. As a six time Legislator ,he was a veteran and seasoned Legislator and enriched the proceedings of the house with his oratorial skills and active participation in the debates with meaningful speeches full of and wit.
