Shillong, June 14: The Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association and with the blessings of the Sister Principal of St. Francis De Sales Secondary School, Laitkor who have given permission to allow the 7 Cadets, Children and Sub Junior athletes of the School aging from 8 to 14 old years old to take part at the Sub Junior National Kickboxing Championship to be held in Indore Madhya Pradesh from 17th – 21st June 2026, 7 Kickboxers including 4 girls and 3 boys left for Indore today morning.
Dajied Kyrpang Synjri, Laitkor Rngi a ranking athlete in Kickboxing will represent the State in the event of Kick Light and Low Kick below 48 kgs. Both Miss Zyarra Kharkongor and Bashanpaia Kharkongor from Laitkor Nongdaneng studying in Class VI will take parti n the vent of Light Contact below 38 kgs and Kick Light below 40 kgs eight categories respectively.
Miss Heilina Sad and one of the youngest Kickboxer aged 8 years old from Laitkor Mawrie studying will take part in the event of Light Contact below 42 kgs and Point Fighting below 28 kgs weight categories respectively.
Both Miss Abigail Ridamaka L Pyngrope and Ribhadaker Bina from Mawlyngad Jowai Road studying in Class VIII will take part in the event of Kick Light below 40 kgs and Light Contact below 48 kgs weight categories.
At the Warm Send Off gathering held in Hotel Assembly Police Bazar Khyndai Lad Shillong, Shaiborlang Lyngdoh Mawphlang, Co-Adviser Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association really appreciate the Sister Principal of St. Francis De Sales Secondary School, Laitkor for allowing to write their Tests and examination again after coming back from Indore on the 23rd June 2026 so that the student athlete can part in such mega event of Kickboxing in the Country where the ranking athlete will be selected to represent India in the International Kickboxing Championship.
At the same time Lorenzo Pearson Warjri would like to request the parents that in case Student needs permission from the School authority to take part in any events of Kickboxing to approach the officials of Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association so that a matter can be taken up the student athletes to take part in such sports events as being done by the management of St. John Bosco’s Boys Higher Secondary School, Sohra.
Last but not the least Press and Information Secretary expressed his gratitude License Coach Babit Kharsahnoh, Coach of the School and World Ranking No. 10 International Kickboxer and martial artist Miss Felicia K Synjri for their best efforts in coaching and guidance the young and tender age Kickboxers to be able take part in such event at Indore Madhya Pradesh.
At a group photo session Sister Principal put in prayers and blessing for the Team and the parents escorting their ward and children to reach safely and to come back also successfully under the guidance of International Kickboxer Daniella I W Mylliemngap as a Team Coach.
