Shillong, April 24: The Synergy and Sustainability Symposium IV was held on April 24, 2025, at The Chancery Pavilion in Bengaluru, under the theme “Amplifying Impact: Scaling Solutions for a Sustainable Future.”
The event brought together key leaders from philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), civil society, and government to highlight scalable and impactful development models and foster dialogue aimed at inspiring systemic change. During the symposium, NESFAS was felicitated by INDIAdonates for its outstanding contributions to grassroots sustainability efforts.
The one-day symposium focused on advancing scalable solutions for a sustainable future, emphasizing the need for innovation and collaboration to drive meaningful systemic change.
It served as a platform dedicated to catalysing social change by fostering meaningful collaborations between grassroots organizations, corporates, and philanthropists.
The event featured a rich mix of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, all crafted to encourage knowledge sharing and deliver actionable outcomes.
INDIAdonates honoured NESFAS under the category “Amplifying Impact through Ground-Up Community-Led Action” for its transformative efforts in promoting sustainable growth and agro-livelihood development at the grassroots level. Its inclusive and participatory approach serves as a strong example of fostering community ownership and creating lasting impact.
NESFAS was represented by Bah Pius Ranee, Executive Director and Bah Nangshan Skhem Lyngdoh, Senior. Associate, Administration and Finance. Bah Pius Ranee, in his speech, “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to INDIAdonates for acknowledging NESFAS’s efforts in revitalizing, safeguarding and promoting local food systems.”
He also shared, “Coming from a place with a rich biodiversity, we are now increasingly noticing the threat to our food systems through various external forces. In the face of these challenges, we need more support to restore pride especially among young people by both introducing and reviving nature-based livelihoods through innovative approaches. We believe this will help reconnect them with Mother Earth.”
