Shillong, May 27: The Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Dr. Prem Kumar, is currently in Meghalaya on an official study tour as part of a parliamentary exchange and learning visit aimed at studying legislative functioning and parliamentary activities in the state, along with visits to places of historical and cultural significance.
Dr. Prem Kumar arrived in Shillong on Tuesday, May 26, and is scheduled to remain in Meghalaya until May 29 . During his visit, he is undertaking a study of parliamentary activities in Shillong and Sohra, while also visiting places of historical and cultural importance.
The Hon’ble Speaker is accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Prabhawati Devi, along with officials and security personnel from the Bihar Legislative Assembly.
The visit is expected to further strengthen inter-legislative cooperation and encourage the exchange of best practices in parliamentary governance between states.
