Shillong, July 31: The Court of Smti. M.K. Lyngdoh, Special Judge (POCSO), East Khasi Hills, Shillong vide Judgement of Court Order dated 28.07.2025 has convicted the accused of Special POCSO C/No. 26 of 2015, arising out of Rynjah PS Case No. 77 (05) 2015 U/s 5 (g) /6 POCSO Act R/w Sec 366 A IPC sentencing the convict Shri Stevenson Nongsiej @ Steve, to seven years imprisonment with fine of Rs. 30,000/- only for an offence punishable
under section 4 of POCSO Act.
In default of payment of fine, further imprisonment for four months and sentencing the convict Shri Tuparsing Lyngdoh Lyngkhoi @ Bah Duh to 3
(three) years 6 (six) months imprisonment for an offence under Section 18 of PcSO Act.
The case was investigated by WPI/S. Wanshnong of this DEF presently posted as
Prosecuting Inspector, (PI) Shillong Court East Khasi Hills, Shillong, said the Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
