Shillong, March 16: Assam Regimental Center Team based at Shillong wins Second position at 19th Junior national Wushu Championship The 19th Junior National Wushu Championship held at Fatehabad, Haryana from 10 to 15 Mar 21.
A total of 30 teams participated including Boys Sports Company of Assam Regimental Centre consisting of 17 cadets and two coach. Boys Sports Company of Assam Regimental Centre won four Gold, eight Silver and three Bronze medals, thereby securing overall second position in the championship.
Wushu is a martial art which was developed in 1949 in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional martial arts. Wushu has become an international sport under the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).
