Shillong, Oct 03: The Cabinet of the Meghalaya Government today has approve the hike on the minor forest produce that come from Meghalaya. With these approval the revenue collection will increased thrice than the pervious collection.
The Minister in charge forest Mr Prestone Tynsong said that the last revision that the government has revised the rate is on 1999 .
The revised raid that the cabinet has approved today are, for round log from Rs 500 per truck has been increased to Rs.5000, Sawn Timber from Rs 200 has been revised to Rs 5000 and fire wood from Rs 200 has been revised to Rs 5000 per truck.
On bamboo from Rs 100 has been revised to Rs 1000, on Bay leave and Broomstick it has been revised from Rs 60 rupees to Rs 500, cane from Rs 300 has been rives to Rs 5000 and on Dhoop wood from Rs 300 has been revised to 5000. said the forest minister.(SP News)
