Shillong, January 30: Under the directive of national BJP Mahila Morcha President, Smt. Vanathi Srinivasan, Mahila Morcha teams from various states of the North East are currently on a organizational journey to all the districts of Meghalaya.
The objective is to get a true measure of the number of people who have benefitted from the central schemes designed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central Govt.
The State BJP Mahila Morcha President Susuki Pariat, Sikkim BJP Mahila Morcha led by its president Srijana Thapa Chhetri and Nagalnd BJP Mahila Morcha led by Shanbeni Yanthan held meetings with Asha workers, Anaganwadi workers, self help groups and other beneficiaries of central schemes.
On visiting Jowai Civil Hospital, the women’s team was touched by the gratitude shown by many patients to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They couldn’t stop repeating that the Ayushman scheme, a scheme dear to Narendra Modi himself, was a blessing for those who can’t afford high medical bills.
The team went on to visit Wapung Skur Higher Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Parish and Shillong Cathedral. Currently the team is touring East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills, West Jaintia Hills and Garo Hills areas. Remaining areas of the state will be covered in the coming days.
