Shillong, July 20: A one-day Legal Awareness Programme on NALSA Legal Services to the victims of drug abuse and the eradication of the drug Menace Scheme, 2015 and NALSA Child-Friendly Legal Services to Children and their Protection Scheme, 2015.
Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012″ organised by the District Legal Services Authority, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong in collaboration with Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority was held today at Laitryngew village, under Sohra Civil Sub Division.
The programme was attended by Mrs. B. Kharlukhi, Secretary, DLSA, Shillong, Mr. Pynhun Syiem, SDPO, Sohra, Mr. Anthony B. Khongsit, O/c, Sohra, Police Station, Sohra among others.
The programme includes a rally participated by the students and lectures by the resource persons on the topics: Free Legal Aid & Services, NALSA 15100 Helpline, Drug Abuse, Law & Punishment, POCSO Act, 2012 Offences and Punishment.
