Maligaon, August 30: Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager of N. F. Railway today conducted an inspection for the development works and railway facilities at Jogbani, Forbesganj, Araria, Purnia, and Katihar stations under Katihar Division.
Shri Surendra Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar with senior officials of headquarter and division accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.
The General Manager inspected the enroute stations, took stock of the progress of the various ongoing developmental works between Araria – Purnia section along with safety related gears at the railway stations.
During the inspection, GM/NFR has conducted speed trial at 120 kmph on Araria- Purnia section. He also interacted with the railway officials at stations and took feedback on various issues and enquired about their awareness on various safety related items.
The General Manager inspected crucial areas such as the marshalling yards, coaching yards, minor and major bridges, Coaching Depot, Railway Colony, curves, and LC gates during the inspection. He inspectedthe crossover and demonstration of USFD at Forbesganj station yard.
He also inspected various installation related to electrification works at Araria. The General Manager inspected the plans of new station building, Foot Over Bridge, platform and other passenger amenities works. He also inspected all safety points and various ongoing stationsdevelopmental activities at Jogbani, Araria and Purnia stations.
The General Manager’s visit was aimed to review the progress of various developmental works, assess the facilities at different locations, interact with officials, and discuss plans for infrastructural development and business expansion in the area.
His positive assessment of the ongoing works reflects the dedication and efforts of Northeast Frontier Railway’s commitment to providing safe, efficient and comfortable travel experiences for passengers.
