Shillong, Oct 30: Directional Level Lead Intelligence Agency Meeting conducted at Frontier Headquarters BSF Meghalaya on 30th October 2024, the 66th Directional Level Meeting of lead intelligence agency was successfully conducted at Frontier Headquarters BSF Meghalaya under chairmanship of Mr. I.D. Singh, DIG (PSO).
The meeting was aimed to enhance inter-agency coordination and address pressing security issues along the India-Bangladesh border. Various border-related challenges were discussed, with particular attention to the ongoing issues of sugar and cattle smuggling.
Representatives from multiple intelligence and security agencies shared insights and developed strategies to counteract these illicit activities, which have significant security and economic implications. Discussions also included operational strategies reinforced by an intelligence network to strengthen border security measures.
In his address, Mr. I.D. Singh underscored the importance of collaboration among agencies to safeguard border security and combat the crimes. The agencies present reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing intelligence sharing and operational coordination to curb illegal activities along the border.
