The NPP would be the fitting answer to Dr. Mukul for his misrule

 

 

 

Shillong,rymphang,07: A meeting of the National People’s Party (NPP) was held at Rongjeng on the 3rd of February 2014. The meeting was attended by Shri P A Sangma, National President NPP, Shri Conrad Sangma, Working President Meghalaya NPP, Shri Thomas Sangma, former RS MP, Shri Marcuise N Marak President East Garo Hills District and all the office bearers of the Rongjeng NPP Block Executive Committee.

The meeting was presided by Shri Marcuise Marak who welcomed the National President and all the members present. He then laid the Agenda for the meeting and opened the discussion. Several members of the Rongjeng Block Executive Committee were asked to speak and all of them reposed their faith in the leadership of P A Sangma and assured the leadership that they were ready to work tirelessly for the Party.

Shri P A Sangma thanked all the office bearers of the Rongjeng Block and the people of Rongjeng in general for their support. He further stated that the time had come for the Congress to get a fitting reply from the people of Garo Hills for their failure in delivering governance, providing a secure and safe environment and all the blatant corruption taking place. He said that the results of the MP elections, which would go in favour of the NPP would be the fitting answer to Dr. Mukul Sangma for his misrule and misdeeds.

Shri Lelynggreat K Sangma and Shri Kismet  A Sangma  along with their supporters  formally joined the National People’s Party (NPP)  in a meeting held at the party office, West Garo Hills Tura, on Tuesday the 4th of February 2014.

They joined the party in the presence of National Observer and District President, Semford B Sangma, State Vice President I/c West Garo Hills Benitha A Sangma, District General Secretary Mathias N Marak, District General Secretary I/c Youth Affairs and Publicity Roger Benny A Sangma,  and other Party leaders.

Shri Lelynggreat K Sangma who is also a General Secretary National Association of Ray of Hope Ministry in India had contested the 2013 Legislative Assembly elections from Tura South constituency as an Independent candidate. Shri Lelynggreat stated that the reason for joining the NPP was that he wanted to serve the people with likeminded party men and he believed that under the leadership of P A Sangma, Garo Hills can once again be revived with peace and development. He stated that a personality like P A Sangma was known, loved and respected not only in Meghalaya but the whole of India.

Shri Kismet A Sangma who was a former Sub-Inspector of police had contested the 2013 Legislative Assembly elections from Tura North constituency as an Independent candidate. He stated that he will continue to work for the society with the party’s leaders and will adhere to party discipline. He also said that he is very keen to learn many things from the National President P A Sangma as a new entrant in politics.

While welcoming both of them to the party, Shri Semford B Sangma stated that he is very happy to see people from different walks of life joining the party and he can foresee that the future of NPP is bright.(Sp news)
