Shillong, December 09: The GNLA Militant today received a big blow with one of the senior most member Mr Baichung Ch Momin surrender himself before the Police at Chokpot police station in South Garo Hills District.
This GNLA, leaders along with him brought 1 AK reiffle, 1 Magazine, 120 lice ammunition and four sim cards, and deposit them before the police. With his surrender the police hope that soon they will be able to neutralized the GNLA group who are still active in East and South Garo Hills District.
Baichung is the second in command in the GNLA group he is next to the C-In-C mr Sohan D Shira, he is the commander of the the West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills District in the militant group and he is one of the founder member of the GNLA along with the Chairman Mr Champion Marak.
After he surrender to the police, Baichung told the police that in the last five years the C-In-C of the GNLA militant Sohan D Shira has taken to himself all the money that was collected in the name of the GNLA. He is a member of the ANVC but joint the GNLA when Chaompion and Sohan form in 2009.
