Shillong, August 11: The Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship (MIE) under the stewardship of the Governor’s Secretariat, Shillong had organized a half day interactive session with local restaurateurs and hotel owners on 31st July 2018 which resulted in the formulation and conduct of a training programme.
In this Jackfruit Cuisine tasting even,r 28 chefs and bakers of 15 local hotels, resorts, cafes and bakeries in the preparation of various dishes from jackfruit which was organized by the MIE and imparted by the Indian Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM), Mawdiangdiang from the 9th till the 11th Aug 2018.
The training culminated in a display and tasting event of jackfruit themed dishes prepared by these chefs on the 11th August 2018 in the Pinewood Hotel, Shillong and anchored by the Directorate of Food Processing, in which the best dishes, selected by an eminent panel of tasters were suitably recognized.
