All factory owners in the State of Meghalaya are directed to declare holiday on polling day

Shillong, August 21: The Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Shillong has informed that all the factory owners in the State of Meghalaya are directed to declare Weekly Holiday in their respective units on the date of poll on the 23^rd August 2018, instead of the First Day of the Week as provided under Section 52 of the Factories Act, 1948 to enable the voters of 51-South Tura (ST) and 35-Ranikor (ST) Assembly Constituencies to exercise their Franchise on the day of poll in connection to the Bye Election 2018 to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
