Shillong, Sept 18: The Rotary Club of Shillong honoured the five teachers with the ‘Nation Builder Award’ recently at the function held at Rotary Corner at Shillong Club for their outstanding teachers .
This award is an initiative of Rotary India Literacy Mission and is given to outstanding teachers who make an enormous contribution to the development of quality education. 5 teachers were selected after a stringent and transparent process of selection and were felicitated by the President Rtn. Kailash Varma and senior Rotarians with a citation, Rs. 3000 and a indoor potted plant, which they were requested to nurture like they nurture the students and make them great.
The Teachers were selected by, 10 students, and the Principal, from each school the marks were added, and Teacher getting the Highest marks, adjudged in various criteria was given the Award.

Sun was awarded from, The Assamese LP School, Laban, Smt Valvina Shylla was Awarded from The Sein Jaintia Secondary School, Shillong.
