CBI team will reach Guwahati tomorrow for investigation into the chit fund scam

Guwahati  April 29: The Assam Chief Minister, Tarun Gogogi ,made it clear at a press conferece in Guwhati, that no  money will be refunded to those who had lost their savings in the Sardha Group or any
other. “Where will the government pay the money from”, asked the Chief minister.

The chief  Minister said that a list of some cpmpanies that have been prepered by the government in
case of frogery will be handed to the CBI, The companies include Sardha Group,  Rosevalley, Unipay 2U, Jeevan Suraksha,Alliance, Deffodil,Abis, Basil and Prayag for the  timbing.

However the govermnet doesn’t have any information about the amount of investment
done by the people in the Sardha group or any other such companies doing business in the
state, as such it has become difficult to calculate about the financial loss in the chit  fund scam.

The Chief Minister reiterted that no minister or police official swill be spared  if found guilty in the chit fund scam, who is under pressure from the journalist after the name of Health and Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma and former DGP , Sankar  Baruah,s name has been named by Sudipto Sen, the CEO of Sardha Group, in his letter to the  CBI.

A CBI team will reach Guwahati tomorrow for investigation into the chit fund scam and
the Chief Minister has thanked the CBI for its prompt action.(SP News)
