Shillong, May 03: Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, IPS, ADG of BSF, Head Quarters, SDG of Eastern Command, Kolkata visited Frontier Headquarter of the BSF Meghalaya and its area of responsibility to review the security scenario and area familiarization. This is the second consecutive visit after taking the charge of ADG(Eastern Command).
Mr Sanjeev Kumar Singh on this visit unveiled the foundation stone of SOS Mess , visited Mawpat BSF Camp, Sector Headquarters BSF Shillong and Umpling BSF Camp, he interacted with BSF Officers and briefed on operational situation of Meghalaya.
He also interacted with jawans. He further visited Border Out Post Bholaganj and Patharghat of East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, interacted with troops deployed on border and reviewed security scenario of Meghalaya border on 03rd May’ 2019.
A plantation drive to plant saplings on 03rd May’ 2019 was also conducted by BSF during the visit of ADG at International Border. BSF has launched this campaign to educate its personnel and to instill a feeling of doing something for the “Mother Earth”. BSF has organized this plant saplings plantation campaign all over India (BSF deployment) to turn BSF campuses greener for a better environment and climate.
