Shillong,June 29: The BSF, the largest Border Guarding Force of the world conducted Annual Medical Conference at their campus in Shillong. This is an annual event being conducted by FTR HQ and Composite Hospital Shillong.
BSF medical set up has got distinction of being one and only amongst CAPF to conduct Medical Seminar regularly at all its Composite Hospitals and FTR HQ and force level annual medical conference too.
Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG(Med) of CH BSF Shillong told that the medical conference was held on 28th June 2019 at Umpling Campus of BSF which was inaugurated by Dr H L Raskaran, Director(Medical), BSF, the chief guest of the function and attended by many senior Administrative Officers and officers of medical fraternity coming from different organization of the state.
Scientific session was conducted in which doctor from CH Shillong BSF presented the clinical presentation. Scientific session was attended not only by BSF doctor but by doctors from ARMY, AR, CRPF, NEIGRIHMS and civil medical setup too.
Mr Kuldeep Saini, IG , FTR HQ BSF Meghalaya welcomed guests present there and highlighted the achievements of Composite Hospital, specially the noble work done by them for the border population and its effects in gaining the confidence of border dwelling people.
Director Medical, BSF, Dr H L Raskaran highlighted about the topics to be discussed during the conference and congratulated the team CH Shillong lead by Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG(Med)/MS for organizing, enlightens CME in the mega manner.
The Chief Guest of the occasion, Dr H L Raskaran, Director Medical BSF, who in his inaugural speech congratulated the Composite Hospital, Shillong for organizing such professional seminar and appreciated the work done by doctors of Composite Hospital, BSF for the border-inhabitants.
In a message Mr A L Hek, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Meghalaya conveyed that state government acknowledges the noble job done by BSF and assured all help from state medical authority for upgrading the medicare services of BSF, which they are extending to the border.
Conference was held well as mega event and at the end Dr A C Bhardwajan, DIG(Med)/MS extended vote of thanks to all guests, speakers, moderators and delegates for participating and making the event successful.
