Shillong, May 18: The 30th June will be the last date for enrollment of people in the sate for the Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) said Mr Lari Rymbai who is in charge in the enrollment drive.
Speaking to SP News Agency, Mr Rymbai said that this is the rule in the policy because the person who has enrolled has to get benefit from the scheme not less than nine month. All the cards that they issued will expire on the month of March next year with few month left.
The Model that they follow is all of the RSBY the scheme of the Government of India. At present they have enrolled only 30% of the people of Meghalaya. Mr Rymbai said that the reson is because every thing is new, but now they staff they have been acquainted with system and they hope that before 30 June they will be able to reached the target 0f 85%.
The hospital in shillong that have not enter into agreement for this MHIS scheme is only four private hospital, Woodland, Supper Care, Bethany and Children Hospital. The negotiation is on and he hope that soon they will be able to sign the agreement with them.(SP News)
