Shillong, Oct 16: The Meghalaya School Welfare Development Association – Central Body (MSWDA-CB) will hold General Meeting of Aided and Unaided permitted and recognize schools under the Khasi and Jaintia Hills Districts, schedule to be held on Tuesday, 20th October, 2026 at Khasi National Dorbar Hall Shillong.
The Association will also discuss its Memorandum to the Department of school Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education Government of India concerning the National Education Policy (NEP), the strengthening of the Foundational Stage, adequate school infrastructure, and the need for relaxation of Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR) requirements under the Right of Children to free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE Act-2009).
Other important matter will be discussed during the meeting are, notified list and enrolment criteria, uniform grant and composite school grant for all eligible students and schools. PM-POSHAN Scheme.
