Shillong, August 12: A book entitled”Bah Remy Phankon” , written by his granddaughter Stacey Rozetta Nongbri was released by Fr. Edwin Kahit, Parish Priest Pynursla, Catholic Church on 11.8 19.
The book is about the life and contribution of Bah Remy. Bah Remy is a famous Khasi author and some of his book such as “Dak Bangla”has been included as a syllabus for Master degree in Khasi in NEHU.
Another book “Mynhynnin-Mynta-Lashai” was included as syllabus for Bachelor of Arts student. Remy’s book”Ka Sngi Khatduh U Tirot Sing” was translated to Bengali and Assamese for students.
He was also involved in writing the Khasi dubbing script for Hollywood movie “Jesus” produced by Metro Goldwyn Mayer(MGM), USA.
