Shillong, oct 30: The Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme, ‘Integrity- A way of life’, started in NEIGRIHMS w.e.f 28th October 2019 and it will be observed till 2nd November 2019. On Monday there was Pledge taking ceremony in the OPD foyer of the Hospital.
There was Poster display competition also, wherein staff and students expressed their thought on the theme through their posters. On 29th October 2019, a skit play competition on the theme of Integrity- A way of life was organised wherein three teams of Nursing College, NEIGRIHMS participated. The skit plays were appreciated by Doctors, Staff, patients and visitors of NEIGRIHMS.
Director NEIGRIHMS while speaking on the occasion stressed upon the employees and students of the Institute to start an integrity culture in the NEIGRIHMS, where everybody is conscious about the integrity of self and others. He said integrity of a person is when his/her soul is pure to the extent that nobody has any doubt on the honesty and intentions.
Vigilance Officer NEIGRIHMS, Prof. P. Bhattacharya while speaking on the occasion informed the audience regarding structure of Vigilance Cell in the Institute and announced that any act of corruption can be brought in his notice in a confidential note in Vigilance Office or Director’s Office or Medical Superintendent Office. Dean Faculty, Prof. A. C. Phukan and Medical Superintendent, Prof. Noor Topno also spoke on the importance of corruption-free society.
