Shillong, Nov 19: Upon receiving information that there is a serious breakdown of law and order in Shillong city and that there is likelihood of serious breach of peace which may lead to acts of arson, targeting vehicles and causing loss of life and property.
The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has promulgated an Order under Section 144 CrPC, prohibiting the sale of petrol, diesel, etc in loose jerricans and bottles and any other containers to members of public by all the Petrol Pumps within East Khasi Hills District. This Order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders.
