Meghalaya Govt put up 14 screening point for testing the citizen coming from Bangalore

Shillong, May 19: Meghalaya Chief Minister Mr Conrad K Sangma today in his official twitter said that the Government has set up 14-screening centre in different part of the State to accommodate the inflow of over 1400 citizens coming back to the state from Bangalore.

The Government has held a reviewed meeting today to prepare for those citizens who will be returning from others states as well. Process and Protocol were reviewed in the meeting today.

The Chief Minister said that discussion with other state to bring back those stranded citizens as major chunk of people that will be returning are expected from Maharastra, Delhi and West Bengal.

With the movement of the people the state should be prepared for any eventuality, the Chief Minister said that testing and quarantine were most important to ensure things that will be under control.

Mr Conrad also inform that in the review meeting today that the government is prepare mentally for any potential impact of cyclone Amphan were also discussed, he also said that as the society should also   be mentally prepared.
