Shillong, July 20: The Khasi Student,s Union (KSU) Central Executive Council of the Education Cell express it’s concerns for the students of the State who have passed their and SSLC/ HSSLC Examination, 2020 and are looking forward and seeking admission in your prestigious institution.
Admission 2020: As due to the pandemic COVID – 19 which have shook the whole globe, the education of the students has also suffered a major setback.
With the results of the SSLC/ HSSLC being out, the Union realises that most of the students would not be able to or will be refrain from taking admission in Colleges and Universities outside the State and abroad. This will indeed make them rush in Colleges and Universities in the State.
Hence, the Education Cell of the Union kindly request you to give first preference to local residential students of the State rather than students belonging from other States.
Reservation of Seats for students hailing from outskirts: The Online admission has created a lot of hurdle for students belonging from the outskirts parts of the State as most of the area has poor cellular network connectivity and are deprived of internet or Wi-Fi facilities and cyber cafes for applying online mode of admission.
Thus, the Education Cell of the Union humbly requests you to have an alternative offline mode of admission and to reserve a certain amount of seats for such students coming from the outskirts part of the State.
