Shillong, July 28: Meghalaya police informed that Mawlai Traffic Branch has been temporarily closed with immediate effect, after a police official of the branch came into close contact with a COVID-19 patient.
The staff of the traffic branch are currently under medical observation and the branch is being disinfected and sanitized as per protocols; it is further informed that the branch will resume functioning only after being declared fit for re-occupation as per the laid down protocols.
General public residing within the jurisdiction of the Traffic Branch are hereby requested to kindly approach Lumdiengjri Traffic Branch for assistance in traffic related issues, whereas other matters relating to police station works can be reported at Mawlai Police Station which is functioning normally.
