Shillong, Sept 09: After the taking over of Mr. Satya Pal Malik, as the Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya, Lieutenant General Tumul Varma, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding 101 Area called on him at the Raj Bhavan today.
The General Officer Commanding briefed the new Governor on the role and responsibility of 101 Area and its contributions in upholding the glorious traditions of the Indian Army.
He also discussed several relevant issues including the prevailing security situation in the State, and assured the Hon’ble Governor of continued and enhanced Civil Military Interaction and cooperation. The Hon’ble Governor conveyed his Best Wishes to all ranks 101 Area and the Indian Army.
