Shillong, Dec 16: In its bid to motivate the local youth to join the Indian Army, 34 Assam Rifles organized a weapon display for students of remotely located Parbung and Senvawn villages along the Manipur – Mizoram border on the occasion of Vijay Diwas on 16 December 2020.
During the event the students were informed about the significance of Vijay Diwas and were motivated to join the Indian Armed Forces with the help of informative and motivational videos.
The event was attended by approx 70 students, teachers and local administration including the SDO and staff of Tipaimukh sub-division. The event was followed by refreshments and an interactive session between the students and Assam Rifles personnels.
A heartening response was received from the students with an inclination towards joining the Indian Armed Forces and the event was lauded by all.
