Shillong, March 23: In partial modification of this Department’s Notification No. Health. 99/2020/11 dated 28-10-2020, the rates of various COVID-19 tests being conducted in the State is hereby revised.
The new rate for testing are for Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Rs.500/- now will be Rs.250/- and for RT-PCR Test Rs.1000/- and the now will be Rs.500/- and all those who require to be tested at the Entry Points will be charged as per approved rates.
Those who belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) Households (Yellow and Pink NFSA Cardholders) on medical advice can avail the testing for free at any of the Government Facilities only.
The testing slots shall be subject to availability. Testing in Private Facility will be on payment basis only. All those who have been identified as High Risk contact in the containment zones and those advised by the Health Department officials, will be tested free of cost.
Any person (including MHIS Cardholders) who desire to get tested with RAT/ RT-PCR on their own without medical advice shall approach facilities for getting tested on payment of the relevant cost of the test.
The new rates shall be effective from 23rd March, 2021 said Mr. Sampath Kumar, IAS Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya in the notifications issued today.
