New Delhi, Dec 13: Under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme (NESIDS), financial assistance is provided to enhance tourism through physical infrastructure projects relating to water supply, power and connectivity; and to upgrade social infrastructure for primary and secondary education and health.
So far, 110 projects worth Rs.2563.14 crore have been sanctioned in the North Eastern States under NESIDS and are at various stages of implementation. The sector-wise details of projects approved for funding in North Eastern States under NESIDS.
The amount sanction in different scheme, Connectivity 35 numbers in numbers at the cost of Rs. 1138.57 cores, in power sector 4 numbers at the cost of Rs. 231.98 cores, in Water Supply 18 numbers at the cost of Rs. 585.86 cores, in Education 26 numbers at the cost of Rs. 96.26 cores, in Health sector 27 numbers at the cost of Rs. 510.47 cores.
