Home Department, should keep an eye and hunt for those outfit who threatened: HITO

Shillong, April 08:  The organisation  HITO today has written to the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District  seeking clarification weather media houses carrying the news items have verified the antecedents of the sender of the email or not.

In the letter HITO would like to remind that it is imperative for media houses to carry authentic news and avoid creating unnecessary panic for the people. If the media houses are bound by an order of the HC on carrying threats by a banned outfit, why give importance to an unverified item.

The demand to free rapist former MLA Julius Dorphang is unreasonable as the matter is with the Court. Their claim of being highly educated is bogus because an educated person wouldn’t demand freedom for a habitual rapist.

As a responsible organization HITO have taken their threats to carry out armed attacks especially in a school. They would like to ask, why attack a school? Why attack innocent children. The government, through Home Department, should keep an eye and hunt for those outfit who threatened the innocent section of our society.

The HITO demands immediate clarification whether the said report has any merits or simply carried to earn TRPs. The government should take stern action against such who willingly published such unverified rubbish aimed at nothing but to disturb peace and harmony of the state said  Mr. Donbok Dkhar  President  and Mr.Shaniah S Nongrum Legal Secretary of the HYC.
