Maligaon, Oct 24: Northeast Frontier Railway has been continuously progressing in freight loading. N. F. Railway has loaded 0.923 million tonnes (MT) during the month of September, 2022.
This is an increase of 11.3% in comparison to the corresponding period of the previous year. N. F. Railway has loaded 5.888 MT from April to September of this financial year. This is an increase of 22.1% as compared to corresponding period of the previous year.
During the month of September, 2022, coal loading increased by 554.5% and loading of few other commodities also increased by a good margin in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year. During the month, fertilizer loading increased by 5%, dolomite loading increased by 9.9% and loading of other commodities increased by 32.8%.
During the current financial year from April to September, coal loading increased by 1118.4%, dolomite loading increased by 14.2% in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year.
Fertilizer loading increased by 14.6%, POL loading increased by 10%, container loading increased by 10.6% and other commodities increased by 31.4%. It is overall increase of 22.1%.
The N. F. Railway is exploring all possible ways to boost the freight loading performance. It denotes its sincere commitments to maintain backend supply chain and to dispatch freight commodities in different parts of the country faster.
