Shillong, May 15: Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Node Meghalaya, welcomed the St. Anthony’s College students along with teachers for their educational exposure visit.
Students were acquainted to different activities of the Institute, research laboratories scientific instruments, herbarium, available local bioresources particularly medicinal plants and phyto-pharmaceutical extraction processes.
The activities of sensitization of young mind of students is supported by the guidance and initiative of the Director, IBSD, Prof.Pulok K. Mukherjee to promote awareness of science & technology and their sustainable utilization towards development of local Bioresources.
It may be mentioned that IBSD is organising such activitiesto inculcate scientific temperament among students to gain exposure to research environment and motivate them to pursue research in various field of life sciences and awareness about local Bioresources.
