Shillong, August 30: The state unit of BJP applauded the Centre’s announcement of a Rs 200/- per cylinder cut in prices and called it yet another example of how the BJP led Government in Delhi is constantly working towards helping the common man.
The State President, Mr. Ernest Mawrie said the move will have an immediate impact on every Meghalayan’s domestic budget and will make day to day living so much easier.
He also pointed out how this was just another addition to a long list of people friendly steps that the Narendra Modi led Central Government has taken over the last nine years.
The BJP led centre had announced this price cut on Tuesday, 29th August. Mr. Ernest Mawrie said this move was a gift from the Narendra Modi Government to women of India, and the state, ensuring that every upcoming festival becomes so much more joyful.
With this decision, citizens will now get a cylinder for around Rs 900, while the nearly 9.6 crore PM Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries will get a cylinder for around Rs 700.
