Shillong, Sept 13: Meghalaya will be participating in the 62nd edition Subroto Cup Football Tournament 2023 to be held in New Delhi w.e.f 19th to 26th September, 2023 where Saiden Secondary School Nongpoh winner of the State Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament 2023 will represent Meghalaya in the U-17 Years Girls category.
The Department today the 14th September have organized a send off ceremony for the Meghalaya Subroto Cup Football Team 2023 U-17 Years Girls i.e, Saiden Secondary School Nongpoh at MFA Football Ground at 1:00 PM.
Smti. Isawanda Laloo, IAS Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya has been the Chief Guest of the programme in the presence of Shri P.B. War Nongbri Assistant Director Sports and Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya, District Sports Officer Ribhoi District, Headmaster of Saiden Secondary School Nongpoh, teachers etc, the meeting was preside by Shri K. Passah Assistant Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya.
During the meeting a short speech was given by Shri. B. L. Nongbet DSO Ribhoi District and also words of encouragement to the players was given by the Chief Guest Smti. Isawanda Laloo, IAS Director Sports & Youth Affairs Government of Meghalaya.
