Shillong, July 28: The organisation Achik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima held special meeting on the 27th July, 2024 to discuss matters of critical importance concerning your role and conduct as the President of A·chik Holistically Integtrated Krima where members attended online and offline.
The KC Executives who attended the meeting through both online and offline mode, during the meeting after careful consideration and thorough review of the circumstances, the Krima Council (KC) has decided to suspend their president with immediate effect. The decision to suspend the president is base on the alleged for misusing and abusing his position and Authority.
ACHIK alleged that the president has overwriting the KC Resolutions to terminate an Executive of Krima Council without Krima Council’s knowledge and even after continued reprimanding of his act, and he fail to acknowledge his mistake and stand by his act.
ACHIK alleged that there has been also an act of interference from his side using your authority to disrupt the functioning of the organization on the pretext of taking your consent on every little issue while on the hand, he have approved Tura City Women’s Unit without the approval of Krima Council.
The allegation and then on his own promoted the group to the Krima Council as Women’s Wing of ACHIK in the media without KC’s knowledge. The leaders of KC tried to submit the corrigendum on the issue and reprimand the issue and yet again you fail to acknowledge his unethical act.
Centralising of all works and dictatorial leadership in the organization is against the principles of ACHIK as the ACHIK organization is based on democratic and collective decision making, the Krima Council has found him during the meeting that your actions has gone against the principles and ideology of ACHIK.
Even after one year and six months of his tenure in office as the President of ACHIK, you had acknowledge that you are unaware of Visions and Missions of ACHIK , and being the President, it should have been your first thing to know after assuming office or before assuming the office.
Having a person at the commanding position with no knowledge of vision and mission, principle of the organization would be detrimental at this juncture for the smooth functioning of the organization.
ACHIK asked their president to cease all activities and duties associated with the role of President. Access to organizational resources, including official documents, and digital platforms, is hereby revoked. During this period, Working President and General Secretary will assume the responsibilities of the office.
ACHIK asked the suspended president to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation and to provide any necessary documentation or information as required. A detailed inquiry will be conducted to ensure that all aspects are thoroughly examined, and a fair resolution is reached.
The enquiry committee comprising of Working President , General Secretary and Assistant General Secretary will head the enquiry for the benefit of resolving this issue. The Krima Council is committed to upholding the principles of fairness and transparency throughout this process.
ACHIK will allow the suspended president that he will have the opportunity to present his case and respond to any allegations during the investigation. The organisation understand the gravity of this situation and the impact it may have on you and the organization.
The decision to suspend the president is taken in the best interests of ACHIK and its stakeholders. The meeting was attended by Mr. K A Sangma, M.A. General Secretary through Online, Mr. Macklowrence M Sangma Working President, Mr. Happinius R. Marak Assistant General Secretary, and Mr Humraaz N. Marak Chief Organising Secretary these attended offline.
The District Head Executives who attended the meeting through both online and offline mode, Mr, C Marak Co Chairmain, West Khasi Hills, Mr. Ro’rok R. Marak -Co Chairman, North Garo Hills, Mr. Anand R. Marak the Co Chairman, South Garo Hills, Mr. Sengkal Marak General Secretary North Garo Hills and Mr. Adrian Marak the General Secretary Tura City Unit.
The KC Executives who did not attend the meeting neither online and offline mode, Mr, Thomas M Marak the President the reason because a meeting was about the alleged misused of his Position and Mr. Greneth Sangma the Vice President the reason : Because he has tendered the Resignation from his post.
