Shillong, July 29: As part of Vijay Diwas Celebrations, Air Force Station Laitkor Peak organized a ‘Run’ on 28 July 2019 to commemorate the valour of Kargil heroes and to pay tribute to the Martyrs of the Kargil War.
The participants of the run included air warriors, personnel from Defence Security Corps (DSC), Military Engineers Service (MES), children from KV School, volunteers from BSF, CRPF and Directorate General of Assam Rifles.
The Run commenced from Air Force Station, Laitkor Peak and culminated at Polo Ground passing through Shillong City. Station Commander, Air Force Station Laitkor Peak flagged – off the run at the Shillong Peak in which over 600 personnel participated.
